What a glorious day

The morning dragged by as we waited for 2:00 pm to arrive so we could board the bus with several other anxious families that would FINALLY be joined with their adoptive children. We were excited, a little nervous, how would she receive us, would we recognize her. We arrive at the official meeting place and get on the packed elevator riding to the second floor and as the door opens there is already a crowd of families being united with their children and there are tears of joy from the awaiting families and tears of fear from these tiny little ones that at this moment aren't quite sure what is going on. The first group leaves and after a little paper work is complete they start calling names. We hear MILLER (actually Meelure which we almost didn't understand) and a tiny frightened little girl is placed in the arms of her Forever Family! We knew her immediately! We shed tears of joy for us but also felt her fear and could only imagine what was going on in her little mind. Kim holds her tight, gives her a sucker but it took a little time to calm her. She clung to her little pink shoe as this is the only possession she left the orphanage with that was familiar to her. She kept scanning the room looking for a familiar face. Sarah Grace handed her a little purse and Jacob gave her finger puppets but she hung onto her pink shoes. Pictures were being taken all over the room to capture these very important moments of everyone's life. We head back to the bus to head to the market for formula, diapers etc. Hannah was worn out and fell asleep in Kim's arms. We arrive back at the hotel and there is more business to take care of. Stephen goes to a meeting while Kim and Hannah get to spend some quiet time together. She becomes more relaxed now in Kim's arms and a more calm friendly environment. She even begins to play with a few of her new toys and Stephen gets a great big smile from her. Thanks to modern technology all the family gets a sneak peak of her through Skype. Thank you Lord for allowing me to be a part of this very special glorious day as Hannah Marie Miller joins our Forever Family!
